Job Summary

The Senior Category Sourcing Associate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for indirect goods and capital expenditures. This role ensures efficient purchasing operations, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities for indirect goods & services, including office supplies, IT equipment, and professional services, as well as Maintenance, Repair and Operation (MRO) purchases.
  • Responsible for the procurement of capital goods, including machinery, equipment, and other large-scale purchases, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and project timelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable outcomes for the organization.
  • Execute the end-to-end procure-to-pay process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
  • Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
  • Work closely with various departments, including Finance, Operations, and Project Management, to support procurement needs and align with organizational goals.
  • Stay updated on market trends, supplier developments, and emerging technologies to inform procurement strategies and decisions.
  • Generate and analyze procurement reports to monitor performance, identify issues, and support decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Graduation in Science or Engineering or Pharmaceutical with a management degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect and capital purchases.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP preferred). Advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in cost analysis and financial evaluation.
  • Proven experience in negotiating contracts and supplier agreements to achieve optimal terms and conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of procurement activities.
  • Understanding of procurement regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Expertise in procurement documentation, including supplier due diligence, business cases, and justification notes.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes such as RFI, RFQ, RFP, bidding, and commercial negotiation.
  • Experience working in a matrix organizational structure with indirect reporting lines.
  • Ability to develop and improve business processes and methodologies.
