Procurement Expert

Medanta seeks a seasoned Procurement Expert to lead supply chain operations. As a key team member, you will negotiate with manufacturers and vendors, drive price agreements, and implement vendor-managed inventory (VMI) systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct VMI analysis to identify optimization opportunities and monitor procurement trends.
  • Negotiate strategic agreements with manufacturers and vendors to set new benchmarks for pricing and service.
  • Drive group-wide price agreements for high-value medical supplies.
  • Manage vendor relationships focusing on performance, delivery, and compliance in VMI operations.
  • Implement, monitor, and audit standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to VMI.
  • Track and reconcile VMI stock across all units to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability.
  • Monitor compliance with brand recommendations and measure resultant cost savings.
  • Maintain adherence to statutory guidelines to prevent legal or regulatory non-compliances.

Required Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Healthcare Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in supply chain or inventory management, preferably in healthcare/hospital settings.
  • Proven experience in procurement negotiations, compliance, and SOP implementation.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare procurement dynamics, regulatory requirements, and VMI models.
