Urban Project Specialist Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support our urban landscape and complete streets initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for creating people-centered urban spaces and experience in project coordination.

  • The Urban Project Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of urban landscape and complete streets projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project requirements.
  • This involves conducting site visits to gather data, analyzing results to inform project planning and design, and assisting in the preparation of project materials, presentations, and reports.
  • The specialist will also coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and consultants, to ensure effective project implementation.
  • In addition, they will assist in organizing and facilitating community consultations and workshops to gather valuable feedback and conduct research on best practices in urban landscape design and complete streets.
  • The specialist will collect and analyze data to evaluate project outcomes and inform future initiatives, preparing project documentation, progress reports, and presentations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in urban planning, landscape design, or project coordination.
  • Solid understanding of urban planning principles and sustainable development practices.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS) is desirable.
