Job Overview
Alyke is seeking a seasoned IT Director to oversee the strategic planning and execution of our IT operations.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in managing IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure Management
- Oversee and manage the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Technical Support
- Provide desktop and remote support to users, addressing hardware and software issues on time, and ensuring minimal downtime.
- Network Administration
- Monitor and maintain network performance, security, and reliability by configuring and managing LAN, WAN, and VPN connections.
- Hardware and Software Maintenance
- Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrades of hardware, operating systems, and business applications.
- Data Backup and Recovery
- Implement and monitor backup strategies to ensure data integrity, and conduct recovery processes as needed.
- IT Security
- Ensure all systems are secured from cybersecurity threats by installing updates, performing regular security checks, and responding to potential security breaches.
- Vendor Management
- Liaise with external vendors for hardware procurement, software licensing, ISPs and IT services to ensure timely deliveries and support.
- Documentation
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, including asset inventory, user guides, SOPs, and system architecture diagrams.
- Project Coordination
- Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects such as network upgrades, software implementations, or system migrations.
- User Training
- Provide training and guidance to employees on new technologies, software tools, and best practices in IT usage.
- Compliance and Auditing
- Ensure all IT operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, including data protection policies (GDPR, ISO standards).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, network administration, or system management.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems.
- Experience with networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Certifications such as ITIL, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are preferred.
