Renewable Energy Performance Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Renewable Energy Performance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the renewable energy team, you will be responsible for conducting performance analysis of operational Solar PV plants.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performance Analysis: Conduct performance analysis of operational Solar PV plants to identify areas for improvement and optimize plant performance.
  • Meteorological Data Analysis: Develop and analyze meteorological datasets for use in simulation software to improve accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Energy Yield Assessments: Perform energy yield assessments, downtime analysis, and statistical evaluation of long-term yields to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Energy and Capacity Optimization: Lead energy and capacity optimization for hybrid projects with BESS integration to maximize plant efficiency and reduce costs.
  • PV, Wind, and BESS Systems Modelling: Model and simulate PV, wind, and BESS systems for optimization and performance improvements.
  • Techno-Commercial Assessments: Carry out techno-commercial assessments of PV modules, inverters, converters, and battery systems to ensure optimal selection and deployment.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze SCADA and data logger records for performance insights and automate data analysis and reporting using Python, Excel, VBA.
  • Plant Design Review: Review plant layouts and designs (tilt-pitch optimization, DC overload analysis, etc.) to ensure optimal plant performance and safety.
  • Risk Assessment: Support due diligence and risk assessments of renewable energy projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Performance Ratio Test Procedures: Review and evaluate performance ratio test procedures for plant acceptance to ensure optimal plant performance and efficiency.
  • Emerging Technologies: Stay updated with emerging renewable technologies and share insights internally to drive innovation and growth.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for business development activities to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
  • Site Visits: Undertake domestic and international site visits as required to ensure optimal plant performance and maintenance.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Qualification: BE/BTech in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering; Master's in Energy/Data Analysis preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in renewable energy performance analysis.
  • Skills: Strong expertise in Solar PV performance assessment and BESS integration; proficiency with simulation tools (PVsyst, SAM, Helioscope, PVcase, etc.); hands-on experience with Python, Excel, VBA for data analytics and automation.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of techno-commercial assessments, due diligence, and risk analysis; familiarity with SCADA systems, data loggers, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
