Lead API Integrations Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the integration of multiple systems, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange between them.

This role requires experience in project management, API design, and system integration techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of APIs, message queues, and SFTP protocols.

  • Define project scope, milestones, and success metrics for API integrations.
  • Coordinate API service requirements between developers and stakeholders.
  • Track and manage integration workstreams: real-time APIs, batch jobs, Kafka/RabbitMQ, SFTP.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee integration projects across internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and secure rollouts.
  2. Validate data contracts, mapping, and transformation rules.
  3. Ensure compliance with API security, data privacy, and operational risk standards.
  4. Document integration touchpoints, workflows, and SLAs.
  5. Provide visibility on risks, blockers, and delivery status to senior stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • 8–10 years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years in project/program management of API & middleware integrations.
  • Mandatory: Experience in the wealth management / WealthTech / BFSI investment domain.
  • Familiarity with API management tools (Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway).
  • Exposure to Node.js-based architectures, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of financial data formats (FIX, OFX, JSON, XML).
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and delivery skills.
