Job Summary:
The Investment Risk Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing investment risk across various asset classes. This includes keeping business informed on regulatory matters, monitoring key activities undertaken by the business, and establishing trusted relationships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of fixed income and basic risk concepts, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting Global Investment Risk team in areas such as rating changes, Securities Approval Group and Credit Approval Committee meeting materials, regular and ad-hoc investment risk analysis reporting, and producing credit research write-ups through thorough issuer analysis.
- Producing regular and customized funds exposure reporting, tracking liquidity, fund flows, AUMs, issuer ratings, etc. for portfolio management and risk teams.
- Partnering with risk management team and management on areas related to investment risk management, reviewing reports produced by Analysts, and ensuring quality of reporting output.
Requirements:
- Graduation (B.Com/BBM/B.Sc, B. Eng, MBA or equivalent) with experience of above 3+ years within the investment management industry.
- Strong understanding of fixed income and basic risk concepts, as well as equities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, VBA and Python programming skills a plus; ability to adapt quickly to change.
