Mobile Application Developer for Livestock Management

AgX is pioneering innovative livestock management solutions using Electrical Muscle Stimulation technology, replacing traditional electric shocks with painless muscle cues.

This approach enables efficient cattle herding and monitoring without additional fencing. Our system operates easily, requires no expensive base stations, and transmits health and location data directly to a cloud backend and mobile app.

We're at the intersection of Climate and AI, where you can make a meaningful impact.

As a key team member, you'll collaborate with our founders, product team, and API engineers to develop a mobile application for managing and monitoring herds efficiently.

You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the product's mobile app, creating engaging user experiences and developing front-end interfaces.

Your key responsibilities include partnering with our product team and farming partners to understand their requirements and build an app that meets their needs, upholding high standards of engineering and coding.

Requirements include 4+ years of experience in building mobile apps using React Native, proficiency in the Typescript ecosystem, including monorepos, a thorough understanding of interface guidelines for Apple and Android apps, and submitted apps on the App Store and Play Store.

Bonus points for familiarity with mapping libraries in React Native or Native frameworks, native iOS and Android ecosystems, and good knowledge of UX best practices for SaaS based interfaces & AI.

Initial tasks involve building a mobile app that allows farmers to see their farm map with multiple layers and annotations, working with various aspects of the map feature, creating virtual polygons to plot regions for their farms on the map, annotating polygons with points of interest, generating heat maps of farm livestock activity, and integrating with APIs to let farmers view their livestock on the map.
