Job Description

We're looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge analytics solutions.

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services that process and analyze large datasets in real-time.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a critical part in shaping the backbone of our analytics infrastructure and building systems that impact millions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs for large-scale analytics systems.
  • Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines to efficiently process massive volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and data science teams to integrate complex analytical models into backend services.
  • Implement efficient algorithms for data processing, aggregation, and real-time analytics.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of backend systems.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices in software development and data engineering.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes to improve system robustness.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development, preferably in analytics or data-intensive applications.
  • Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Scala, or Go.
  • Deep understanding of database technologies (SQL & NoSQL) including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, or similar.
  • Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, or Hadoop.
  • Expertise in designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid grasp of distributed systems, data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
