Your Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Financials, including FICO, Controlling, and Cost Center Accounting.
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions.
  • Collaborate with business teams and SMEs to collect business requirements in support of projects.
  • Map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; develop necessary SAP configurations to resolve problems and implement improvements in financial processing.
  • Design, customize, configure, and test FI/CO functional processes.
  • Identify gaps, issues, and work around solutions.
  • Act as liaison between users and development team to troubleshoot, investigate, analyze, and solve SAP process issues.
  • Document functional designs, test cases, and results.
  • Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.
  • Support both new implementations and existing support projects.
  • Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required.
  • Work independently; may act as subject matter mentor to junior team members and business SME's.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms in the SAP system, conduct unit testing.
  • Write detailed functional specifications for ABAP developers.
  • Debug ABAP code and resolve issues as required.

About You:

  • B.S. degree in business, accounting, computer science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in full cycle support projects and implementations.
  • 5+ years of SAP experience supporting General Ledger, including several of the following functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inter-company Accounting, Project System.
  • Experience in FI integration points with other SAP modules like MM, PP, IM/WM, SD/SM/PS, and PM.
  • Experience in AMS/support environment is a plus.
  • Understanding of accounting business processes is necessary.
  • Ability to write detailed functional specifications for ABAP developers.
  • Strong understanding of SAP FI, CO, and Tax modules.
  • Experience with change control processes and validation desired.
