Cisco ACI Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cisco ACI engineer to design, implement and support software defined networking (SDN) solutions using Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy SDN solutions based on Cisco ACI fabric.
  • Configure APIC, leaf/spine switches, policies, contracts, EPGs, and tenants in ACI environments.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize ACI deployments and fabric connectivity for optimal network performance.
  • Integrate ACI with third-party systems such as VMware vCenter, firewalls and monitoring tools.
  • Migrate data centers to ACI architecture and transform networks.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and runbooks related to ACI.
  • Collaborate with network security and cloud teams to ensure policy enforcement.
  • Assist in automating network processes using tools like Ansible and Python scripting.
  • Monitor and resolve network issues, incidents and changes using ITIL processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, APIC and fabric components.
  • Good understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MPLS.
  • Familiarity with Nexus 9000 series switches in NX-OS/ACI mode.
  • Experience integrating ACI with VMware (vDS, vCenter).
  • Understanding of multitenancy, VRF, BD, EPG and contracts in ACI.
  • Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Python, REST API, Ansible).
  • Network monitoring tools (e.g., Cisco DCNM, SolarWinds).

Preferred Skills:

  • Cisco certifications preferred: CCNP Data Center, CCIE Data Center.
  • 5–10 years of experience in enterprise networking and 3+ years in Cisco ACI.
