Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify key questions and data needs, driving business growth through data-driven insights.
  • Design and execute complex data queries using SQL to extract and analyze data from various internal and external sources, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Develop clear and compelling reports and interactive dashboards using PowerBI to communicate data insights effectively, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Utilize basic Python scripting to automate data manipulation and analysis tasks for increased efficiency, streamlining business processes.
  • Analyze trends, identify opportunities, and develop data-driven recommendations to improve retail performance across areas like marketing, merchandising, and inventory management.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and accessibility, fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency.
    • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and impactful manner, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder buy-in.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in retail analytics, driving innovation and excellence in data-driven decision-making.

    Requirements
    • Experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within the retail industry, with a strong understanding of business operations and data analysis.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation, with the ability to design and execute complex data queries.
    • Expertise in building and maintaining interactive reports and dashboards using PowerBI, with a focus on data visualization and storytelling.
    • Working knowledge of Python for basic data manipulation and analysis tasks, with the ability to automate data processes and improve efficiency.
    • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends and opportunities.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor insights for diverse audiences and facilitate informed decision-making.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on time management and prioritization.
    • A passion for retail and a strong understanding of key retail metrics, with a focus on driving business growth and improvement through data-driven insights.
    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, with a strong focus on collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement.

    Requirements
    • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, with a strong understanding of data analysis, statistics, and machine learning.
    • Strong knowledge of data science tools and programming languages, including Python, R, Azure Data-bricks, SQL, and others.
    • Familiarity with supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, deep learning, and reinforcement learning, with a focus on driving business growth and improvement through data-driven insights.
    • Expertise in visualization tools, including Power BI, Spot fire, or similar, with a focus on data visualization and storytelling.
    • Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical/business teams and facilitate informed decision-making.
    • Experience in analytics, preferably within retail, CPG, or e-commerce domains, with a strong focus on driving business growth and improvement through data-driven insights.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and drive business results through data-driven insights.
