Job Description:

A Senior Cloud Application Support and Security Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning, security, and reliability of our organization's applications within the Agile Development Team. You will provide technical support for cloud-based applications hosted on AWS, resolve application-related issues, implement security measures, and collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level support for applications hosted on AWS, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Assist in deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS services, and monitor AWS CloudWatch metrics, logs, and alarms.
  • Monitor and maintain the security of applications, systems, and networks, implementing security best practices and policies to safeguard data and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues and implement solutions, communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders, and participate in team meetings, discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Support the implementation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes for applications, automate testing, build, and deployment processes, and ensure the integrity and reliability of application deployments during the CI/CD pipeline.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in application support and security implementation.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile Development Teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
  • Strong knowledge of secure coding practices, OWASP Top 10, and common security vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with security tools such as static code analysis, web application firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Understanding of programming languages such as JavaScript or Python.
  • Knowledge and experience of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This compensation package includes competitive industry salaries and comprehensive benefits packages.
