Cloud Architect Advisory (CAA)

  • This is an elevated SAP Cloud Architect role as per career progression/path for SAP Basis consultants. Architects' primary responsibilities include planning/designing and guiding customers about their SAP Landscape, with expectations that selected candidates will perform similar responsibilities to guide SAP customers about their landscape on the SAP RISE Platform.
  • The SAP RISE Platform offers the latest SAP technologies with options for customers to select their own hyperscalers (AWS, Azure or GCP).
  • CAA team members work closely with the SAP pre-sales team to understand customer requirements for their landscapes and create to-be landscape architectures/designs based on their SAP product/infrastructure selections.
  • CAA team members have the responsibility to discuss landscape architectures (setup/build process, dependencies) with customer leaders and technical teams.
  • This role involves interacting with customers, answering technical queries from customer teams, and presenting assessments.
  • As it's an architect role, there will be no hands-on work involved.

  • No dedicated assignment to a single customer; engaging with multiple customers across various industries to gain knowledge about different SAP landscape setups, delivery processes, and challenges.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Bill of Material Review & Analysis
  • Review technical accuracy of Bill of Material to validate that no obsolete version product (ECC etc.) is selected to build on the SAP RISE platform.
  • Provide feedback to the sales team on Bill of Material to confirm if selected product and version are available to build.
  • Do technical validation of customer landscapes to validate product version build viability.
  • Analyze Early Watch Reports & Technical Data to validate hardware selection/sizing.
  • Work closely with the sales team on architecture, landscape, and to-be sizing.
  • Sizing the to-be landscape for migrations.
  • Customer Deal Support – Pre-Signature
  • Prepare technical assessments to discuss with customers and explain about their to-be landscapes.
  • Conduct technical assessments with customers.
  • Perform workshops with customers (networking, HA concepts, RACI reviews).
  • Customer Deal Support – Post Signature
  • Onboarding Questionnaire Support (assist customers with questions on onboarding).
  • Answer questions from customers relating to delivery.
  • Provide key information during the sales cycle.
  • Provide turnover to delivery of key items during the sales cycle.
  • Answer specific questions from delivery regarding the delivery.
