**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced ETL Testing Specialist to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and performance across our data platforms.

The ETL Testing Specialist will analyze business requirements and technical specifications to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL workflows.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements and technical specifications for ETL processes.
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL workflows.
  • Validate data across various stages:
  • Source, staging, and target.
  • Perform data reconciliation and quality checks between source and target systems.
  • Identify, report, and track defects in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with ETL developers, data engineers, and business analysts to resolve data issues.
  • Utilize SQL to perform complex queries for data validation and test verification.
  • Automate ETL test scripts where applicable using tools like Selenium or other automation frameworks.
  • Document test results and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in ETL testing.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, etc.
  • Proficient in SQL and data validation techniques.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data models (star/snowflake schema), and data lakes.
  • Experience with QA/testing tools like JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for test automation.
  • ISTQB or other QA certifications.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
