A leading organization is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud solutions for the Oil & Gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions using AWS cloud services.
  • Ingest, process, and store structured/unstructured data from multiple sources (IoT devices, sensors, ERP systems, drilling logs, production data, etc.).
  • Implement data lake and data warehouse solutions to drive business value.
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, cost, and scalability to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with domain experts, data scientists, and business analysts to translate Oil & Gas business requirements into actionable data solutions.
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and security compliance to protect sensitive information.
  • Support real-time data streaming and analytics using AWS services (Kinesis, Lambda).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with AWS services: S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, Lake Formation, Lambda, Kinesis, Step Functions, CloudWatch.
  • ETL/ELT development using PySpark, Python, or SQL.
  • Data modeling, warehousing, and performance tuning expertise.
  • Familiarity with data lake and modern data architecture concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Oil & Gas industry datasets and use cases.
