We are seeking an experienced Senior Physical Design Engineer with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects in the RTL to GDS flow.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead physical design efforts from RTL to GDS, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project requirements.
- Conduct floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and physical verification using industry-standard tools.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for improving efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and achieve timing closure.
- Optimize power, performance, and area (PPA) to meet design specifications.
- Analyze physical design reports and implement necessary changes.
- Mentor junior engineers to foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in physical design tools and methodologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in physical design with expertise in the RTL to GDS flow.
- Hands-on experience with 3nm, 5nm process nodes.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, or Python.
- Proven experience in achieving timing closure, optimizing for PPA, and resolving complex design issues.
- Solid understanding of digital design principles, including clock distribution, signal integrity, and power analysis.
- Familiarity with Cadence Innovus, Synopsys ICC2, or similar physical design tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
