SAP HANA Administrator

  • Job Summary:
As a seasoned SAP HANA administrator, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of SAP HANA databases, from planning and deployment to ongoing maintenance and support.Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Administration:
    • Plan, deploy, and manage SAP HANA databases to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
    • Perform regular database backups, restore and recovery operations as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
  • Performance Tuning and Optimization:
    • Analyze and troubleshoot performance issues, applying relevant fixes and configurations to resolve them.
    • Optimize database configuration and settings to improve query performance and reduce latency.
  • System Upgrades and Enhancements:
    • Assess and implement system upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP HANA releases and advancements, advising on best practices for adoption.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
    • Monitor database performance, identifying potential issues before they impact end-users.
    • Troubleshoot complex technical problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Mentor junior administrators in best practices and skills development.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide guidance on database strategy.
Requirements:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP HANA administration, with a focus on database management and performance tuning.
  • Skills:
    • Expert-level knowledge of SAP HANA database management and administration.
    • Strong understanding of SQL, database architecture, and performance optimization techniques.
    • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and troubleshooting.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
