Job Role Overview

Data Engineering Challenges and Solutions

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing and building scalable data solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing end-to-end data-centric solutions to address customer business objectives
  • Leading or participating in ETL strategy definition, execution, and communication
  • Cooperating with business and operational users to ensure adherence to client and company guidelines
  • Participating in agile projects from ideation through implementation
  • Designing technical solutions and consumption patterns for business requirements

In addition, you will:

  • Adhere to industry standards and best practices
  • Influence and guide stakeholders to ensure solutions are robust, secure, and highly available
  • Uplift the quality of technical solutions by applying industry best practice
  • Contribute to delivery planning and provide guidance to ensure technical deliveries are aligned to engineering direction and strategy

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Hands-on experience in ETL pipeline building with spark or scala programming framework
  • Experience in Big data platform for ETL development with AWS cloud platform
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and Cloud Watch
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
