This role is open for a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c database administration, including RAC, Data Guard, ASM, OEM, RMAN, Data Pump, SQL & PL/SQL development, performance tuning and troubleshooting (AWR, ASH, ADDM), Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (12c/19c and later) in Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments. Configure RAC, ASM, and clustering for high availability. Manage Oracle listener, network services, and connectivity.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimisation: Proactively monitor database health and availability using OEM and custom monitoring scripts. Perform advanced SQL query tuning, indexing strategies, and optimizer statistics management. Utilize AWR, ASH, ADDM reports for performance diagnostics and tuning. Optimize schema design, partitioning strategies, and storage allocation.
  • Backup, Recovery & High Availability: Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions using RMAN, Data Guard, and RAC. Configure and manage standby databases (physical/logical) for DR readiness. Validate backup integrity and conduct regular DR drills. Guarantee RPO/RTO compliance and high availability SLAs.
  • Data Security & Compliance: Implement data encryption (TDE, Data Redaction, Network Encryption) and access control policies. Enforce security standards aligned with PCI-DSS, GDPR, SOX, RBI, and other regulatory guidelines. Manage database auditing, logging, and compliance reporting.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related) and at least 5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in mission-critical environments.
