Network Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous and secure flow of data between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain high-availability network infrastructure, ensuring low latency, redundancy, and security.
  • Collaborate with production and IT teams to align network infrastructure with operational needs.
  • Lead the installation and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, identifying potential bottlenecks and minimizing downtime.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and modernization initiatives, including security features and future-ready wireless infrastructure solutions.
  • Ensure network scalability to support future production needs and business growth.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and controls in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Manage relationships with network vendors and external partners to ensure timely delivery, implementation, and support for network hardware and services.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in designing and managing large-scale production network deployments, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network security practices and protocols, including VPN, intrusion detection, and VLAN management.
  • Experience in implementing OT/IT network integration and proficient in managing both wired and wireless network infrastructure, with experience in optimizing systems for large-scale industrial use.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting network issues and implementing solutions in a time-sensitive production environment.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and drive continuous improvements in network performance.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field required. 10+ years of experience in managing production floor network infrastructure in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
