Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Software Development Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and developing new software and web applications. This individual will analyze, test, and integrate new applications, oversee documentation of all development activity, train non-technical personnel, and assist with tracking performance metrics.

Core Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements, conduct analysis to determine integration needs, and design new software and web applications.
  • Support applications under development, customize current applications, develop software update processes, and assist in the roll-out of software releases.
  • Train junior Software Development Engineers on internally developed software applications.
  • Oversee the researching, writing, and editing of documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with technological developments within the industry, monitor competitive applications and products, and review relevant literature, patents, and practices.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the design process, offer guidance on practices, procedures, and techniques, and serve as a guide and mentor for junior-level Software Development Engineers.
  • Assist in tracking and evaluating performance metrics, ensuring the team delivers software on time, to specification, and within budget.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications meet specifications and technical requirements.
  • Display expertise in engineering methodologies, concepts, and skills, as well as their application in the specified engineering specialty.
  • Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise ITSM implementations.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with portal development, including creation of custom web components using Service Portal technologies (CSS, Angular JS, node.JS, Bootstrap).
  • Experience designing, developing, implementing business applications in ITIL, CMDB, Service Catalog, SDLC, Change Management, and Incident Management.
  • ITIL v3 certification.
  • Ability to understand product/customer needs and convert them into experiences within Agent Workspace, leveraging the full suite of workspace capabilities.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but we also consider applicants with some combination of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience. 7-10 years of relevant work experience is required.
