Senior SQL Server Database Administrator Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to oversee the management, security, and optimization of our Azure-based SQL Server environments.

This fully remote opportunity is designed for professionals located in India who can work effectively in a distributed team setting.

  • Administer and manage SQL Server databases on-premises and in the Azure cloud.
  • Design, implement, and monitor Azure SQL Subscription services for high availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and monitoring to ensure optimal database health.
  • Configure and maintain disaster recovery, backups, and high availability solutions to prevent data loss.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance standards to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Migrate databases from on-premises SQL Server to Azure SQL while ensuring seamless business continuity.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support continuous integration, deployment, and database lifecycle management.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, proactively addressing database capacity concerns to ensure high uptime.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server and Azure SQL Subscription management.
  • Proven expertise in performance tuning, database troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Deep knowledge of T-SQL, backup/recovery, replication, indexing, and security configurations.
  • Familiarity with Azure services like Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Azure Automation.
