About this role

This is a senior quality assurance automation engineer position that focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of software applications.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test suites using Playwright or similar frameworks.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as development, product management, and QA engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with business requirements.

Building reusable test frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing, as well as integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments.

Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using tools like JIRA, and collaborating with engineering to drive resolution.

Developing and maintaining test plans, cases, and scripts for both manual and automated testing, including conducting performance testing, regression testing, and cross-browser testing to validate application quality.

Staying current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in test automation, and sharing insights with the team.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of total experience in software testing, with 3+ years in test automation using Playwright or equivalent frameworks.
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency, including test script writing for browser automation.
  • Good understanding of RESTful APIs and experience using Postman, Swagger, or similar for API testing.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative workflows.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
  • Solid grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies and comfort working in iterative environments.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
