Job Title: Export Import Manager

As an Export Import Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth movement of products, equipment, and materials in and out of the country, in accordance with our organization's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the documentation and online forms required for efficient, cost-effective, and lawful import/export activities.
  • Maintain and share knowledge of relevant import/export laws, procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.
  • Connect with export and import authorities, customers, and suppliers to ensure efficient, positive, and lawful transactions.
  • Anticipate and report on future changes in import/export laws and local territory practices, and ensure this knowledge is integrated into our department's strategy, resources, and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team to effectively train, evaluate, motivate, delegate, and supervise their activities.
  • Liaise with other departments to establish and maintain effective export/import activities and support in relation to sales, purchasing, materials management, production, and overall operating functions.
  • Develop effective solutions to challenges and obstacles in import/export activities and procedures.
  • Monitor, record, analyze, and report on import/export activities, trends, results, and recommendations.
  • Manage stock control, warehousing, and distribution activities influenced by or reliant upon import/export activities.
  • Maintain proficiency in relevant ICT systems and other systems within the import/export function.
  • Prepare and submit relevant administration, such as shipping schedules, letters of credit, IGCRD documents, credit control mechanisms, licenses, declarations, packing, routing, transport documentation.
  • Investigate, plan, and implement strategically effective transport methods that meet the needs of our organization and its suppliers and customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in export/import functions in a manufacturing industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of management and function effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent analytical, audit, and organization skills, including the ability to collect, structure, analyze, and communicate data.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of all export/import rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage a large workforce.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to solve problems and think outside the box.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and IT familiarity with SAP.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally and vertically for information.
