About the Role:The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in developing custom tools and add-ins for Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions using .NET (C#, VB.NET) and AutoCAD APIs (ObjectARX, Civil 3D SDK).
Key Responsibilities:- Custom Development & Automation: Develop custom features, tools, and workflows for Civil 3D to enhance productivity and streamline design processes.
- Integration & Data Management: Build integrations between Civil 3D and other platforms for seamless data exchange, and work with document management systems like Autodesk Vault.
- User Support & Training: Provide support for end-users, troubleshoot issues, and create training materials on new workflows and tools.
- Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: Work closely with engineers and designers to understand project needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct testing and debugging of custom solutions to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, including design tools like corridors, grading, alignments, and surface modeling.
- Strong programming skills in .NET (C#, VB.NET) and AutoCAD API (ObjectARX, Civil 3D SDK).
- Experience with API development, integration, and automating workflows within Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with GIS tools, data transformation (ETL), and integrating with other systems is a plus.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years focused on Autodesk Civil 3D customization.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Autodesk Civil 3D or AutoCAD development certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit or InfraWorks integration with Civil 3D is a bonus.
