About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Professional with expertise in application security to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for developing policy and standards for API security, collaborating with internal development teams to build security controls in APIs, and assisting in the strategy, standards, and architecture for the security aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement API security policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security controls into APIs
  • Assist in the development of SDLC security strategies, standards, and architecture
  • Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for applications
  • Experience with Burp Suite tool for dynamic testing (DAST) and knowledge of OWASP Top 10/SANS Top 25
  • Strong understanding of information security principles, web applications, and intermediate familiarity with malicious code and common hacking techniques
  • Ability to collaborate with remote teams

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in application security, including API, static application security testing (SAST), and dynamic application security testing (DAST)
  • Knowledge of security technologies, such as encryption, data protection, design, and privilege access
  • Excellent decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees and/or clients
