The role of a Cath Lab Technologist is a highly skilled position that requires a strong understanding of cardiovascular procedures and equipment operation.

• Prepare patients for procedures by taking vital signs and explaining the process in detail to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
• Operate complex medical equipment, including defibrillators, IV pumps, and echocardiograms, to support diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians during procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, and pacemaker insertions, providing real-time information and assistance as needed.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any complications or adverse reactions, taking prompt action to address any concerns.
• Maintain and prepare sterile instruments and equipment, adhering to strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients throughout the procedure, helping them understand the process and alleviate anxiety.
• Record charges for procedures accurately and attend mandatory hospital training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and new technologies.
