Job Title: Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team.

Job Description:
  • As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SQL Server databases. This includes tracking and applying patches and CUs with minimal impact on system performance.
  • You will also monitor database performance using SSMS, Profiler, and AWS Compute Optimizer, configure alerts, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Another critical responsibility is to implement and document disaster recovery strategies, ensuring regular testing and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Your role will also involve ensuring security compliance, supporting audits, and responding to SQL-related support tickets in a timely manner.
  • Last but not least, you will automate routine tasks and develop a strategic roadmap for SQL infrastructure improvements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience administering large numbers of Microsoft SQL Servers in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with centralized management tools like SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Profiler, and monitoring tools (e.g., AWS Compute Optimizer).
  • Experience with backup/recovery strategies, patch management, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of database security, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • AWS certification or demonstrated knowledge of AWS services relevant to SQL Server hosting and monitoring.
