Overview:

The company seeks a skilled mobile app development expert to join their team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications using React Native.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop High-Quality Mobile Applications: The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging user interfaces and experiences for various mobile platforms, including iOS and Android.
  • React Native Expertise: A strong command of the React Native framework is essential, including components, JSX, state management, and navigation.
  • Mobile App Development Experience: Prior experience in mobile app development is necessary, as it provides a foundational understanding of mobile-specific concepts and best practices.
  • Integration with Native Modules: Ability to bridge React Native components with native modules written in Swift/Objective-C for iOS or Kotlin/Java for Android when necessary for functionality not supported by React Native out-of-the-box.
  • Coding Best Practices: Apply best practices in coding and testing, based on practical hands-on experience from previous projects.
  • Collaboration and Troubleshooting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Deployment to App Stores: Experience with deploying mobile applications to Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including familiarity with the submission process, provisioning profiles, code signing, and release management.
  • API Integration: Proficiency in integrating APIs into mobile applications, including handling authentication, data parsing, and error handling.
  • Testing and Debugging: Experience with testing frameworks like Jest for unit testing React Native components and debugging tools for troubleshooting issues across different platforms.
  • Version Control: Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for collaborative development and code management.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to tackle complex technical challenges.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong Command of React Native: A deep understanding of React Native is mandatory, including its ecosystem, tools, and best practices.
  • Mobile Development Platforms: Experience with at least 2 of the Mobile Development Platforms: iOS (Cocoa, Swift, Objective C, C++, iPhone SDK), Android (Android Framework, Java), Xamarin, Cordova, and Mobile Web (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, RWD, mobile-first frontend frameworks).
  • Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile methodologies is essential for this role.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are necessary for collaborating with the existing mobile development team, discussing requirements, and providing progress updates.
  • Adaptability and Learning Agility: Since the project involves migrating and replacing existing components, the developer should be adaptable and capable of quickly learning new technologies and methodologies as the project evolves.
  • Strong Team Player: A strong team player with excellent collaboration skills is required for this role.
