Job Overview and Responsibilities

This is a hands-on technical manager role, responsible for the leadership of a team that delivers web and mobile applications to support the United Time and Attendance system and integration with other systems.

  • Actively coach and develop team members' technical and soft skills
  • Estimate work in support of sprint and release planning
  • Ensure on-time and high-quality product delivery
  • Work closely with team members and business partners in an agile development environment where continuous integration and delivery are critical
  • Lead the design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing critical software systems and/or applications with a focus on continually improving our technology, efficiency, and scalability
  • Ensure regulatory and labor union compliance requirements such as SOX, labor union, HR, and state-specific work rules are addressed
  • Ensure security requirements are addressed
  • Demonstrate an innovative mentality by staying aware of new developments within the technology space and identifying which new technologies to adapt to provide value to our business
  • Recommend system solutions by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of alternative solutions
  • Review solutions with United's Enterprise Architecture team and other technical leads to maintain and document software functionality

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software design, principle, and patterns
  • Strong understanding of development best practices, design patterns, and standards and how to apply them
  • Experience leading an agile development team, including feature/user story development, estimating, unit testing, etc.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly present ideas to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • 4+ years of experience in Microsoft .NET, C#, Web API, Angular, JavaScript, CI/CD, MS SQL, or PL SQL
  • 3+ years of AWS services and container technologies
  • Project Management Proficient
  • Hands-on experience with Full SDLC lifecycle
  • Must have team handling experience, ability to learn and adapt new technologies
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
