We are seeking a skilled Tax Return Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UK tax laws and regulations, including HMRC guidelines. They will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely tax returns for a diverse range of taxpayers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and prepare UK tax returns (SA100) according to HMRC guidelines.
  • Process and interpret various income sources, including employment income, self-employment income, property rental income, dividends, interest, capital gains, and pension income.
  • Apply relevant allowances, reliefs, and deductions.
  • Liaise with teams to gather missing information or clarifications.
  • Maintain accurate records and working papers to support tax computations.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC deadlines and submission standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or similar qualification.
  • 3+ years of experience in preparing UK Self Assessment tax returns.
  • Familiarity with HMRC rules, tax codes, and common allowances.
  • Experience with UK tax software is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working with UK accountancy firms or outsourcing teams.
  • Understanding of UK residence/domicile rules and double taxation reliefs.
  • Exposure to UK landlord taxation, capital gains on shares/property, and foreign income reporting.
