Senior Director, Product Design Strategy

About the Role:

The Senior Director, Product Design Strategy will lead our product design team and drive the holistic design vision for our products. This includes defining and implementing a consistent, high-quality user experience across internal and external applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive design strategy that aligns with business objectives and drives user engagement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in product management, engineering, and data science to align on product strategy, goals, and roadmaps.
  • Customer-Facing Influence: Engage in early client discussions to shape design strategy, translating needs into actionable insights.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in product design within a technology or product-centric company.
  • Proven experience leading a team of designers who design and ship AI-powered products or features.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a track record of using data to inform design decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Previous experience working on AI-powered products and/or curiosity about the rapidly evolving landscape and its impact on design and user experience.
