Our organization seeks a skilled professional to fill the role of Data Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines using Python, SQL, PySpark, and bash scripts.
  • Develop and maintain software applications using industry-recognized software engineering practices and principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
  • Work with Cloud Data Warehousing platforms such as Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks SQL, or equivalent.
  • Utilize distributed frameworks like Spark and have experience working with Databricks platform.
  • Have hands-on experience with tools like Delta Lake, Databricks Workflow, Job Clusters, Databricks CLI, and Databricks Workspace.
  • Understand the machine learning lifecycle, data mining, and ETL techniques.
  • Be familiar with commonly used machine learning libraries like scikit-learn and xgboost.
  • Have proficiency in understanding REST APIs and be experienced in using different types of APIs.
  • Have familiarity in Pythonic API development frameworks like Flask and FastAPI, and experience with containerization frameworks like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Build and maintain tools and libraries that have been used by multiple teams across the organization.
  • Have excellent communication skills and ability to work and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Work with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or equivalent, version control systems like GitHub and Bitbucket, and Orchestration tools like Airflow and Prefect.
