Job Summary
As an LDAP Systems Architect Lead at PepsiCo, you will be responsible for expanding and maintaining the Enterprise Directory in Azure, managing IDX applications, and overseeing Oracle Unified Directory. Your expertise in authentication mechanisms, access control, and RBAC implementation will be crucial in designing and enforcing security measures. Additionally, you will be responsible for directory schema management, performance optimization, security implementation, and troubleshooting complex LDAP issues. You will collaborate with security teams and develop incident response procedures for LDAP-related security incidents. If you have a strong background in LDAP administration, directory services, and a related field, and experience with Oracle Unified Directory, then this role may be a good fit for you. Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced User Account Management: Independently manage user accounts, groups, and organizational units within the LDAP directory.
  • Implement user provisioning and de-provisioning processes while adhering to established protocols.
  • Authentication and Authorization: Design and enforce authentication and authorization mechanisms for various applications and services using LDAP.
  • Implement and maintain role-based access control (RBAC) models.
  • Directory Schema Management: Modify and extend the LDAP directory schema to accommodate evolving business needs.
  • Ensure schema changes are well-documented and backward-compatible.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor LDAP server performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Implement caching strategies and indexing to improve query performance.
  • Security Implementation: Configure and maintain SSL/TLS encryption for LDAP communications to ensure data confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement intrusion detection and prevention mechanisms.
  • Troubleshooting and Incident Response: Investigate and resolve complex LDAP-related issues, including user authentication failures and directory synchronization problems.
  • Develop incident response procedures for LDAP-related security incidents.
