Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to join our team in India. This role will be responsible for ensuring the organization complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, while fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Management
- Ensure regulatory adherence by monitoring and implementing compliance policies and procedures;
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks;
- Conduct regular audits and prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Address and resolve employee grievances and conflicts in a fair and timely manner;
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through various initiatives and programs;
- Organize training sessions to educate employees about compliance requirements and ethical practices.
- Work closely with HR Partners, legal, and other departments to ensure cohesive compliance and employee relations strategies;
- Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them;
- Stay updated with the latest regulatory changes and industry best practices to continuously improve compliance and employee relations processes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Several years (7+ years) of experience in compliance, employee relations, or a related field;
- Experience in regional labor laws and labor/union litigation matters;
- Degree of Diploma in Labour welfare or any other qualification specified in the Maharashtra Welfare Officers (Duties, Qualifications and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1966;
- Proven experience in a Mid-level leadership role, managing teams, and developing compliance strategies.
