Senior Cybersecurity Strategist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Strategist to join our organization. This is a senior permanent role where the candidate will be expected to lead the Cybersecurity vertical, ensuring robust governance, scalability, and long-term resilience for the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cybersecurity Leadership:
    • Develop and implement enterprise-wide security architecture and frameworks across multi-cloud environments.
    • Lead secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) adoption, threat modeling, application security reviews, and web application firewall (WAF) implementation.
    • Drive DevSecOps practices, including automation of compliance checks, vulnerability management, and secure infrastructure provisioning.
  • Team Development & Ownership:
    • Establish and grow the Cybersecurity team from the ground up, setting up processes, frameworks, and best practices.
    • Act as the head of the Cybersecurity vertical, accountable for strategy, execution, and reporting to leadership.
    • Build a strong pipeline of security talent and mentor engineers to achieve maturity in security operations.
  • Risk Management & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Partner with leadership to balance business needs with security risk tolerance, translating technical risk into actionable business decisions.
    • Continuously improve security policies, procedures, and audit readiness.
  • Incident Response & Monitoring:
    • Work with security operations center (SOC) and incident response teams to detect, investigate, and remediate security threats and incidents.
    • Develop and optimize incident response playbooks to improve containment, recovery, and resilience.
    • Implement proactive monitoring and security automation to reduce exposure to malicious events.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship:
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices across development and infrastructure teams.
    • Provide strategic mentorship to engineers and stakeholders on threat trends, secure coding, and compliance.
    • Lead documentation, training, and awareness programs to promote a strong security culture.
