Network Automation Test Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Automation Test Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in network testing and automation.

  • Billing test strategies: Validate SONiC builds to ensure robust performance across routing, switching, and platform-level features.
  • SONiC server setup: Troubleshoot complex platform anomalies, debug blank box issues, and platform-level anomalies.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work effectively with teams to ensure excellent communication and teamwork.
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in network testing and automation.
  • SONiC fundamentals: Strong expertise in SONiC foundations, test architecture design, and SONiC CLI/commands.
  • Hands-on experience: Set up SONiC servers and builds.
  • Protocol understanding: Solid grasp of Layer 2 protocols (VLAN, STP, LACP, LLDP, ARP) /Layer 3 protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP, VRRP, ECMP).
  • Troubleshooting skills: Experience troubleshooting ASIC/Syncd failures and Redis database anomalies.
  • Automation proficiency: Proficiency in PyTest automation for test development and execution.
  • Network validation tools: Familiarity with PTF and practical experience using SpyTest for network validation.
  • Data-Center Technologies: Experience on Data-Center Technologies such as IP-Clos/IP-Fabric, MC-LAGs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications: NCIA, JNCIS certifications (Juniper) or equivalent.
  • Large-scale Data Center experience: Experience in large-scale Data Center environments and SONiC production deployments.
  • Problem-solving skills: Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
