Job Description:
  • Senior Technical Solutions Manager oversees vessel retrofit projects from technical feasibility to yard commissioning.
  • This permanent individual contributor role is ideal for a Marine Chief Engineer with experience in docking, retrofit implementation and stakeholder coordination.

This role requires hands-on experience managing engineering design reviews, class interactions, vendor negotiations and real-time problem-solving during retrofits involving basic Energy Efficiency Technologies like LEDs and VFDs to highly complex EETs like WAPS, ALS, shore power and CCS Systems.

Key responsibilities include owning retrofit projects from inception to completion including feasibility analysis, layout planning, material flow, vendor timelines and yard coordination.

Additionally, the Senior Technical Solutions Manager will review design drawings, electrical interface scopes and class/flag submissions liaising with engineering vendors and class societies for approvals.

The position also involves preparing technical offers with ROI calculations, bonus/pengnanty models and energy efficiency metrics for internal and client-facing stakeholders.

As the single point of contact, the Senior Technical Solutions Manager ensures smooth execution of projects through effective communication with owners, charters, yards OEMs and internal teams.

Key qualifications include a Marine Engineer (Class 1 – Motor) degree with 1-2 years' experience ashore in technical management or yard roles.

Added hands-on experience in minimum two major drydocking/repairs involving tankers or bulkers is required.

Retrofit exposure including EPL, ShaPloi/BWTS, Scrubbers, VFDs, Ducts, Propellers and Hull paint is essential.

A commercial acumen is also necessary for cost vs savings analysis and ROI modelling.

Strong English communication skills both written and verbal are required for this role.
