Financial Project Manager

Job Summary

The Financial Project Manager will provide key financial support to the operational project teams throughout the life cycle of the project. This role is responsible for supporting all financial areas associated with running a clinical trial.

  2. Support the project teams in all financial areas, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
  3. Assist in the preparation of monthly invoicing worksheets which are the source documents for client invoicing and revenue recognition.
  4. Perform variance analysis comparing forecasted revenue to actual revenue to identify gaps and changes in scope.
  5. Review work orders and change order budgets against actual activities to identify out-of-scope activities.
  6. Support monthly project review meetings as needed.
  7. Collaborate with the Manager, Operational Finance and Vice President, Operational Finance to prepare contract documents (statements of work and change orders).
  8. Work with the Company Accountant to provide support for financial reporting and general ledger functions.
  9. Work with the Company Accountant to ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.
  10. Ensure timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
  11. Collaborate with others in Finance to support department goals and objectives.
  12. Respond to inquiries from the CFO and Vice President, Operational Finance regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
  13. Develop and implement new procedures and features to enhance workflow and internal controls.
Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting/Finance or related field or equivalent experience in accounting discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related business discipline.
