Job Title: Strategic Engineering Director

We are seeking a seasoned engineering professional to lead our team in driving strategic growth and operational excellence. As a Strategic Engineering Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective solutions to enhance our resort properties' efficiency, sustainability, and overall guest experience.

  • Policies and Standards: Develop and standardize engineering policies across all resorts to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Capital Projects: Oversee capital expenditure projects including renovations and new builds to optimize resource allocation and minimize costs.
  • Benchmarks and KPIs: Establish benchmarks and KPIs for property-level engineering teams to measure performance and drive improvement.

Maintenance & Operations

  • Maintenance Programs: Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan.
  • Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Systems: Ensure optimal functioning of MEP systems through regular inspections and maintenance.
  • Issue Resolution: Coordinate with resort teams to resolve issues promptly and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.

Energy & Sustainability

  • Energy Conservation: Drive energy conservation initiatives to reduce consumption and lower environmental impact.
  • Sustainable Practices: Implement sustainable practices aligned with global hospitality standards to promote eco-friendliness and social responsibility.

Compliance & Safety

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance across all properties to avoid fines and reputational damage.
  • Risk Mitigation: Conduct audits and mitigate risks proactively to safeguard assets and personnel.

Team Development & Management

  • Recruitment and Training: Recruit, train, and mentor engineering teams to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Company Culture: Foster a culture of safety, service, and continuous improvement to enhance employee engagement and job satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Certifications: Advanced certifications in facility or energy management are preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years in hospitality engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles.

  • Leadership and Team-Building: Strong leadership and team-building abilities to motivate and inspire engineering teams.
  • Building Systems and CMMS Tools: Expertise in building systems and CMMS tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
