Remote WordPress Developer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled WordPress developer to join our team on a remote basis. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, fluent in English, and able to turn Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive WordPress websites.

Responsibilities:
  • Translate Figma designs into functional WordPress websites (themes, templates, and components)
  • Ensure all websites are responsive, cross-browser compatible, and true to design
  • Collaborate with the development team to discuss requirements, clarify tasks, and deliver on timelines
  • Manage deployments (staging → production), troubleshoot hosting/DNS/SSL issues, and ensure smooth launches
  • Debug, test, and fix errors efficiently while maintaining clean, modular code
  • Optimize websites for speed, accessibility, SEO, and Core Web Vitals
  • Work with plugins, integrations, and occasional custom development (PHP/MySQL, APIs)
  • Communicate progress regularly and respond promptly to team messages
Requirements & Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Native-level English (spoken & written) for clear communication
  • Responsive in answering messages and proactive with updates
  • Ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team
