As a specialist in women's health, your role will be to provide comprehensive care to patients with various gynecological conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Start the day by finishing tasks related to patient care and operating theatre duties
  • Begingroup sessions and conduct consultations and counseling for all group patients
  • Perform procedures such as intrauterine insemination and sonography as needed
  • Prescribe medications and requisition necessary items

You will also be responsible for:

  • Conducting daily rounds with junior doctors and nurses to ensure patient files are complete and up-to-date
  • Reviewing orders written by junior doctors and checking parameters and investigations done
  • Monitoring charts and ensuring patient consents are completed
  • Advising necessary investigations and informing patients of their results

Additionally, you will:

  • Perform operative procedures such as egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and hysteroscopy
  • Conduct scheduled operative procedures and ensure they start on time
  • Ensure pre-operative preparation is done by theatre staff as per the Pre-Op Checklist
  • Assist or conduct theatre duties, including washup and post-operative care

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Entering anesthesia notes and writing down theatre notes
  • Giving post-operative orders to junior doctors and conducting post-op rounds
  • Providing post-op counseling to patients' relatives and ensuring software entries are made to record post-op findings
  • Deciding discharge and preparing discharge papers as needed

In this role, you will also be responsible for:

  • Attending emergency situations and seeking help from senior specialists when needed
  • Participating in outreach programs and community services
  • Monitoring and controlling all clinical staff
