Cloud Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. As an expert in cloud data engineering solutions, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable, distributed systems on AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and deliver highly scalable, distributed cloud-based enterprise data solutions
  • Implement end-to-end cloud data engineering solutions like Enterprise Data lake and Data hub on AWS
  • Develop expertise in Lambda or Kappa Architectures
  • Stay up-to-date with latest data management concepts and data modeling techniques
  • Work with a strong background in programming languages like Python or Scala
  • Experience with Big Data frameworks and related technologies, including Hadoop and Spark
  • Expertise in AWS compute services like EMR, Glue, S3, Redshift, and DynamoDB
  • Experience with streaming services like Kinesis, SQS, and MSK
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills in Spark framework
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools like Git, CI/CD Frameworks, Jenkins, or Gitlab
  • Experience with security and key management practices on AWS
  • Understanding of cloud data migration processes and project lifecycle

Required Qualifications:

  • 4-8 years of hands-on experience in cloud data engineering
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud technology
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as a cloud developer/lead on an agile team
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Desired Knowledge / Skills:

  • Experience in building stream-processing systems using Storm or Spark-Streaming
  • Knowledge in Python
  • Worked in offshore/onshore engagements
  • Experience in flow tools like Airflow, Nifi, or Luigi
  • Experience in AWS services like Step & Lambda

Professional and Educational Background:

  • BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc./M.E./M.Tech/MBA degree

Certification:

AWS certified Data Engineer is recommended.
