Cost Estimation Expert

We are seeking a seasoned cost estimation expert to lead our cost estimation efforts in Chennai. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in accurately predicting and preparing detailed cost estimates for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents provided by clients and consultants.
  • Identifying project requirements, including materials, equipment, labor, and other resources necessary for project cost.
  • Familiarizing oneself with applicable international codes and standards.
  • Ensuring all cost estimates align with standards to maintain compliance and quality.
  • Utilizing appropriate measurement methods to accurately assess quantities.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in working with AutoCAD, MS Excel, and related software.
  • Exhibiting excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Displaying excellent communication skills.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of proven experience in cost estimation, out of that a minimum of 2 years of technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy.
  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills.
  • Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute.
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in a similar environment and possess a strong understanding of local market trends and regulations.
