Expert Ecologist Wanted for Aquatic Projects

We are seeking an experienced aquatic ecologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine and/or freshwater ecology, with expertise in UK waters.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a portfolio of aquatic projects, producing high-quality technical reports, and supporting UK-wide projects in transitional, coastal, marine, and/or freshwater environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of aquatic ecology projects
  • Producing high-quality technical reports
  • Supporting UK-wide projects in transitional, coastal, marine, and/or freshwater environments
  • Preparing supporting information for investigations of European Protected Species
  • Supporting the technical and professional development of the team of aquatic ecologists

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Zoology or Biological science with specialization in marine or aquatic ecology
  • Competent ecologist with marine and/or aquatic background having strong UK experience
  • Proficiency in wildlife legislation, planning processes, and ecological assessments
