Expert Ecologist Wanted for Aquatic Projects
We are seeking an experienced aquatic ecologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine and/or freshwater ecology, with expertise in UK waters.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a portfolio of aquatic projects, producing high-quality technical reports, and supporting UK-wide projects in transitional, coastal, marine, and/or freshwater environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of aquatic ecology projects
- Producing high-quality technical reports
- Supporting UK-wide projects in transitional, coastal, marine, and/or freshwater environments
- Preparing supporting information for investigations of European Protected Species
- Supporting the technical and professional development of the team of aquatic ecologists
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Zoology or Biological science with specialization in marine or aquatic ecology
- Competent ecologist with marine and/or aquatic background having strong UK experience
- Proficiency in wildlife legislation, planning processes, and ecological assessments
