Job Title:

Data Engineer & Analyst - Financial Data Solutions

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer and analyst to lead the design, development, and deployment of complex data workflows for financial data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement scalable data pipelines integrating data from various sources including SQL databases and Excel models.
- Develop reusable code snippets, data visualizations, and reports ensuring maintainability and scalability.
- Implement scheduling, monitoring, and alerting for data environments.

Data Architecture & Engineering:

- Architect and implement enterprise-grade data warehouses and ETL/ELT processes for financial data analysis.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, parallel processing, and minimal compute cost.
- Manage data lineage, version control, and workflow deployment across dev/test/prod environments.

Financial Data Analytics:

- Work closely with finance, FP&A, and risk teams to automate budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and compliance reporting.
- Build automated solutions for P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and regulatory reporting (SOX, IFRS, GAAP).
- Support internal & external audits through traceable data pipelines and audit-ready documentation.

Governance & Best Practices:

- Establish coding standards, peer reviews, and reusable templates for data development.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual intervention in financial reporting.
- Maintain robust data governance, security, and compliance controls.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in data analytics / financial data engineering, with at least 3+ years in a senior or lead role.
- Strong expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
