Job Description:

As a System Reliability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and performance of our applications. This involves identifying and resolving issues before they become major incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective incident, change management, and problem management processes
  • Develop and maintain a reliable application suite to meet development and maintenance requirements
  • Provide consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, integration, and systems programming
  • Evaluate platform performance and availability through monitoring and tuning
  • Work towards automating application tasks to improve efficiency
  • Design and develop resiliency in application code and troubleshoot incidents
  • Engage with squads to address failure patterns and participate in incident management
  • Apply strong troubleshooting skills to resolve issues quickly
  • Lead calls or contribute logically to resolve complex issues
  • Identify and escalate severity of impacts using monitoring tools
  • Understand architecture and design of applications and identify areas for improvement
  • Perform root cause analysis to recover from service interruptions and prevent recurring problems
  • Monitor, manage, and tune platforms to achieve expected availability and performance levels
  • Identify gaps in monitoring or documentation and reach out to relevant teams
  • Implement changes to platforms with minimal impact on the business by following enterprise standards and procedures
