As a PowerShell expert, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts and solutions using PowerShell.

This involves using PowerShell to streamline IT tasks, manage systems, and automate installations in various environments, including Windows and cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate should have strong skills in PowerShell scripting, solid understanding of Windows Server administration, experience with automation in enterprise environments, and familiarity with cloud platforms.

Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of DevOps practices, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create robust and efficient scripts to automate installation processes, configure systems, and deploy software across diverse environments.
  • Automate system administration tasks, such as user account management, group policy implementation, and server role configuration.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell modules and functions to standardize script development and ensure consistency across projects.
  • Automate software deployment using PowerShell scripts, including package management solutions like Chocolatey.
  • Interact with databases through PowerShell to retrieve, update, and manage data related to installations and system configurations.
  • Implement email systems and manage file server permissions using PowerShell.
  • Integrate PowerShell scripts into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and deploy solutions on cloud platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PowerShell scripts and automated installations.

Requirements:

  • Powershell Skills: Proficiency in PowerShell syntax, cmdlets, objects, pipeline, and error handling mechanisms.
  • Windows Server Administration: Solid understanding of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and IIS.
  • Automation Experience: Experience with automation in enterprise environments, designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms, deploying and managing resources using PowerShell scripts and relevant cmdlets.
  • DevOps Practices: Knowledge of CI/CD principles, infrastructure as code, and experience using tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certification: Microsoft Certified: PowerShell or other relevant industry certifications.
  • Powershell Desired State Configuration: Experience with PowerShell Desired State Configuration for configuration management.
  • Scripting Languages: Knowledge of other scripting languages like Python or Bash.
