Strategic Lead for SOC Architecture Development

We are seeking a seasoned leader to drive the development of high-performance System-on-Chip (SOC) architectures for our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the chip implementation that meets the product requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs).



Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement the SOC architecture and technical specifications from product requirements provided by the business and product marketing organizations.
  • Define and deliver the chip implementation that meets the product requirements and KPIs, ensuring coverage from verification, validation, characterization, and test.
  • Lead the development of advanced automotive high-performance SOCs/vehicle computers/SDVs/MCUs, with a strong focus on driving paradigm shifts in SOC/MCU execution, including team structures, tool usage, methods, and processes for high-quality tape-out.
  • Select and procure IP, and make key decisions on make/buy options.
  • Collaborate with peers across the business to drive change and implement common methods that work across the organization, in partnership with stakeholders and influencing the direction taken.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including supplier management, technical conference participation, technical standards engagement, and awareness.
  • Develop and implement training programs, lessons learned proliferation, and best practice sharing.


Qualifications


  • A 'can-do' attitude, openness to new environments, people, and cultures.
  • Background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with a strong system and architecture level background.
  • Advance technology node understanding and tape-out experience are essential.
  • At least 20+ years of experience in leading New Product Introduction (NPI) product development, technology, and teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-standard tools and methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), problem-solving, teamwork, attention to detail, commitment to task, and quality focus.
  • Passion for continuously improving processes, methods, tracking mechanisms, coverage, automation, and quality.
  • Presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to positively influence and drive results.
  • Strong drive and ability to coordinate work across a cross-functional, highly experienced global team.
